Would you commute 1.5 to 2 hours to work if you were paid $10 more an hour?
Would you do it as a long term commitment?
If you’re talking an extra $10 per hour, for 40 hours………I’d do it for $400 a week. Get a fuel efficient car, and it’s a wash.
These are real life commute times for many people in big cities. My commute is sometimes 1 hour 15 minutes, and I spend around $90 a week in Gas. I have a job with paid dental, health, optical and prescriptions, so it’s worth holding on to, and have been there for 15 years. People say move closer to work, but home is what’s most important. If you like where you live, it may be worth the drive.
