Looking for information on the Port Chester, NY and Stanford CT train stations for the commuter rail to NYC.?

I am looking for the safest and closest train train station to Grand Central station. I am looking at the Port Chester, NY and the Stamford, CT stations, Are they in a relatively safe neighborhood? What about parking at the stations? I would be traveling on the weekend with my child.

stamford has parking ,but port chester has parking also both are reletively safe.1 stop south of port chester is RYE ,a much safer station but no parking on a daily basis(but you can park in the town of rye on the street.also from port chester to grand central is a lot less expensive than from stamford
