Transfer to another university?

I am currently at UCSD as a freshman commuter … and from school began, I realized I did not really like it was as much as I thought. I do not know how to explain it, but it seems not be the school for me. People are too individualistic and too much "for them". My father is also saying that I should go to a different college because it costs too much right now. I think I want to transfer to SDSU where most of my friends are and people are apparently more outgoing and friendly. I also thinking about pursuing nursing and UCSD does not offer that major. Do I have a good chance of being accepted? I got my diploma side with an average 4.52. How do I go about transferring? Furthermore, universities do a lot of people transfer?

Sweeping generalizations may be misleading, but when I was at UCSD a few years ago (ok a few decades ago), the representative was that UCSD was the "serious" school and the state was the "party" school. Looks like it's always what you hear. I managed to go a few rounds anyway. However, it seems that things that are important to you let you go to SDSU. You already have friends there and your question, I guess that's one of the most important things for you. Go with your gut. My instinct leads me to UCSD and who were some of the best years of my life. I am sure that your instincts will be very helpful too. Regarding the transfer process, you must register as you did as a high school student, but there will be separate issues, perhaps separate forms for transfers. Contact the admissions office. I think you should have no problem being accepted.
