For teachers in Korea: How you go?
I'm trying to get an idea of the trip styles for teachers of English Korea. Survey: 1) What city are you? 2) What is the distance to school of your residence (in miles or km)? 2) Have you chosen your place of residence or were you put here? 3) How do you commute (by foot, subway, bicycle)? 4) How long (minutes) is needed commute? 5) Do you think your students, on average, spend more or less travel time than you? 6) How Are you ready to go long if you find your ideal teaching job (this is just the time it takes from your stay at the school, not the return.) – 5 minutes – 10 min. – 15 min. – 30 minutes – 45 minutes – 1 hour – 1 hour 30 minutes – 1 hour 45 minutes – two hours – more than two hours additional thoughts?
I teach University in Korea, but I'm not in the English Department. I will give my answers to your survey anyway. 1) Busan 2a) About 5.5 km 2b) I have chosen. 3) Usually taxis, bus 4 times) Taxi 12-15min.; Bus 20-25min. 5) More (many students commute 45 minutes or more 6) I have my ideal job teaching now. 30 minutes long term Although I would be willing to commute more than two hours short term until I find housing in the region. Additional thoughts) Taxis are a good business in Korea.
