average us commute time
Do you where you live and the News Media effect how the average Joe views climate change?

I do not mean us on Yahoo Answers actually studying the subject. I speak for the average citizen (where you live) which is primary care go to work, pay your bills and if their favorite show is on television or not.

I think the media have a major impact to sell the idea of "global warming". "Global warming" is a "money making scheme stations like CNN and The Weather Channel. They tend to scare people to increase their audience, as they know that in times of calamity waiting (real or imaginary) more people to watch their TV than reading newspapers. Also people are more motivated by pictures stories. Place anamated polar bears on melting ice as in the film Algor, or take pictures of ice melting in summer and run them on the news in December and the sympathy of the people are played at the point where they are easily trained propaganda. If it were not for the slick Hollywood production, global warming is not the issue it is today.
