Life in South Station, Boston?
I moved to Boston next fall, but evil must attend a state college Bridgewater, which is like a good 25 miles south. I really want to live in Boston and not a suburb, because I want to live in the city, not suburbs. Thus, to commute, I need to take the right train commuter school. To make this as simple as possible, I have live near the Gare du Midi, somewhere beautiful and as close as possible. I do not want to take the T to the station, then the commuter train from away to college. Im looking on craigslist only ideas but I do not know what area I should be looking. Im seeing South Boston, Fenway, Back Bay, Financial District, Beacon Street, areas and streets, etc. What should I be looking? Ideas?
The closest vicinity of South Station is Chinatown. And Right there, this is called "the zone" (I do not know if she is gone, but it was the adult entertainment section City). On the other side of Fort Point Channel is south of Boston. As far as I know, none of these areas are known to have students there. (I believe that most students are off campus in the Allston-Brighton, which is close to Boston / Cambridge schools, but nowhere near the commuter line). (See link below to map a "T". This is the subway map not commuter rail since it comes / w Streets city, but Gare du Midi is marked on it.)
