Where to live near San Jose?
I will soon be moving to San Jose from the East Coast and will be working near the intersection of 880 and 280.
My girlfriend will be going to UC Berkeley.
So, where can I live that will: 1) be an easy commute to work (say 15 minutes) — I will be working long hours, 2) be a decent area to live, and 3) make visiting my gf or her visiting me as easy as possible (close to BART or public transportation would be ideal to have as an option).
I am planning on visiting San Jose soon and seeing things for myself, but appreciate your help in narrowing things down a bit before hand. Thanks!
I would look into Fremont. I use to work at 280/880 and it took me about 15 minutes without traffic by using 680 which turns into 280. South Fremont (Warm Springs) is a good area and your not too far from Bart and close to SJ.
