Can you suggest a decent touring/commuter bike for a woman for £500 or less?
Ok i want a touring bike that will be good for commuting too, I want it to have the following features:
+ heard wearing, reliable and suitable for winter
+ drop handle bars
+ somewhere to put paniers for possible touring
+ either comes with or can have fitted mud guards
+ i want it suitable for a woman with an inside leg of 30inches
+ for a maximum price of £500
Please help me by suggesting some decent bikes as i am confused…
You want to look for a touring or commuter bike with a 49 – 50 cm frame. I would start out at the local bike shop and see what they have. Commuter bikes will be in your price range but wont have drop bars. If you find a bike that you like but is out of your price range look for something used. Fit is first, second and third when buying a bike and frames vary from on manufacturer to another for the same size.
