How much would it cost to get from Alewife to Lowell on the Commuter rail?
I’m from South Boston and I’m trying to get to the Tsongas arena in Lowell. I think it would be cheaper to take the red line to alewife, then take the commuter to Lowell – Rather than just taking the commuter rail from North Station to Lowell because I’m pretty tight on cash. Any one know?
Lowell is Zone 6, $6.75 each way. Add $2.00 for the subway to North Station from where ever you are. ($1.70 with a Charlie Card)
Not sure what commuter you are taking from Alewife. The train doesn’t go by there, and there are no buses to Lowell from Alewife.
