IS there a way to ship my car 1,000 miles from LA to Portland,Orgeon without driving it?
“m thinking about moving from LA to Portland,Oregon in late July. My car is a 9 year old Toyota with almost 100,000 miles on it. Driving from LA to Portland is 1,000 miles. As a single person with nobody to share the driving with I don’t think I can do this much driving alone. It would take me 3 days and I would have to spend 2 nights in a hotel along the way.
Besides shipping my car on a truck is there a way to pay someone to drive a car somewhere for you?
Putting my car on a truck is too expensive. Car shipping companies charge $1,500 to ship my car fom LA to Portland.
I can only drive 5 hours alone a day.
When you have a driver drive accross what do you do to make sure they are insured?
I would offer the driver I free one-way ticket back to LA.
How much should I offer to pay the driver?
Place an add in the paper or look for a like ad for someone like a college student trying to get back home. Or look on Craigslist for a person traveling that way.
