Does anyone live in or near Naperville?
My husband and I are considering a move to Chicago and I heard good things about the Naperville area, can we, who live there or near there we talk? What is the cost of housing and other living costs? Is it safe? Are there any companies or software development jobs nearby? How long is the commute to Chicago by car and by train? Among areas near Naperville are the best? Wheaton, Aurora, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Warrenville, Woodridge, Romeoville, others? fun things to do nearby? Weather? We are concerned about how hot he gets there in summer and cold in winter how. We live near Denver, Weatherwise it is better or worse? The nice people? We are a married couple in our 20s, no kids yet but we would like to start a family in the next two years. Is this a good place to raise a family? Any info you can share would be helpful.
The Naperville area is wonderful. If you are looking to start a family and raise a family that is the area to be in. They have some of the best schools and daycare centers around. There is so expensive. Be prepared. Taxes are a killer on the properties. As for jobs, etc., there are many. Just look good. It depneds also how much you want to travel. Would you drive, take a train ride sharing,? Driving can be difficult, every day is different, but I figure on a hard 45 minutes on a good day to enter the city. The next are the best in Naperville, in my opinion would Plainfield or North Aurora. Not too toot my own city but a little bit south of Plainfield in a small town, but that goes Minooka known. Right off the two main highways. I55 and I80. The time you will learn is unpredictable. Looks like it's hot (in summer) or cold (in winter). We have only two seasons … lol He can not be worse than if Denver. All to raise family in the Chicago area would be great. There are so many things to do in the region. We have wonderful museums, zoos, art, architecture, culture name a few things. Feel free to contact me for more info. I lived near Chicago my whole life and would happy to assist you with more specific information, if necessary. Good luck and welcome! BTW, most are friendly, but just like anywhere else there are always coarse people.
