Want to Visit New York but Have no idea where to visit… any help?
I live in Toronto and want to visit New York next week some time for fun… never been there… maybe wednesday and thursday. 2 day trip. I will be renting a car here in Canada but I have no idea where to visit in New York and where to get a cheap hotel.
I want to visit times sqaure, wall street, the statue of liberty, etc.. etc.. but I have no idea where these places are in New York and how far apart they are from each other.
I will be going with two of my friends… what is a decent priced hotel we can find (at a decent location)? How can we travel within New York? Is parking expensive? we are planning to rent a car from enterprise rent a car.

Oh.. also… I am Muslim… and look like a muslim too… should I expect there to be any kind of discrimination against me? If anybody has experienced anything like this.. please share your comments as well.

Pretty much anywhere in New York is close by if you take the subway, do all the attractions you want to in the one borough before you go to the attractions in the next because it will take alot of time moving about all over the city.
As far as being Muslim, I really don’t think you will have any problem, there is every religion and race in NYC, especially in Manhattan everyone lives in every spot. I can’t say that one idiot won’t discriminate but everyone I know would not think twice about your religion.
I definately wouldn’t drive it will cost you loads to park if you can even find a spot, it is fast by taxi and subway anyway.
