car sharing san antonio
I am planning a road trip in your country, can you help me with some advice?

Hello my American friends, I am preparing a road trip in your country, probably in May My idea would be to fly from London (I'm French, please dont hurt me ha ha, but live the United Kingdom) in Houston, Texas. Therefore, I would go to San Antonio, then along the Mexican border, then all the way up to Wyoming, then descends through Utah (and so on). I travel with a friend. So here are my questions: – What car would be ideal for such a trip? – What places do you recommend in particular? – What is the average price of gas right now? (to plan my budget) – Is it too ambitious to think to do so in about 20 days? Or should I plan for a trip longer? – What are the best places to meet people and share stories? I am quite eager to try to understand the characters and local people a little more … Thank you, all advice will be appreciated …

Hey Friend, First let me say WELCOME! Now, to answer your first question .. 1) The best car rental (rent) for the trip would be a "mini-van or a full-size SUV like a Chevy Suburban Chevrolet Tahoe, Chysler Pacifica, Fod Expedition and the rent for a company like that Alamo is unlimited mileage and decent daily / weekly rates. 2) I recommend a day excursion to Mexico in the border city of Juarez across from El Paso, Texas. I went several times in my travels and it is a beautiful city. You should take the footbridge and get something to eat at a restaurant in town, but do not drink water or afford to put ice in your drink (made from the same water course) The city of Juarez is about one million people and is very interesting impressive and once you're away from the border crossing immediately. They have U.S. style streets and malls that are easy to navigate and to cut breath Spanish architecture in some areas.I recommend seeing the Grand Canyon, I recommend you stop to see the River Walk of San Antonio is a "to do must if you're in the city. The "Ogden Canyon, near the reservoir" is beautiful. Another nice place to visit in Wyoming is Jackson Hole. He has great views, good camping and whitewater rafting. 3) The average price of gas is now around $ 2.20 $ 2.35 if in some areas it is lower, like 1.89 $. I guess you can count consumption in a vehicle size, 17 cents per mile for 1,500-2,000 miles you get started. 4) Is it too ambitious for done in 20 days? It depends if you have to drive back to Houston, which may add 2-3 more days on a short trip already. It will take 6-7 days to drive this loop, offers non-stop without getting to see anything. I think you can spend about a night or two in each place of rest and the ability to see unrushed. If you stop at 6 places which is about 12 days of sight and sound show that leaves you 8 days to lead the rest and try to meet friends along the path. 30 days would be much better in my opinion, because sometimes you might want to stay in some cities, more than a day. Some can even not be seen properly in one day. What you are proposing is like driving from Spain to Finland and then down to Turkey and Spain. It's a long journey .. Take your time. 5) The best places to meet locals are outside major cities. Small towns, talk to cashiers and attendants gas stations. Stop in farms and ranches and talk to people there. They may have never met anyone from New York and even less of France live in the United Kingdom. This could be the highlight of their lives. people in cities tend to be stricter and more careful, or they may see you as playing a trick on them or someone they can play a round in small towns, but the mentality is different.
