I accidentally drove over the bay bridge in the bus/carpool only lane?
Today, Sunday, I was driving from Oakland to SF and about to go through the toll bridge but we decided to take the West Grand exit and turn around. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of taking the bus & carpool lane on the far right instead. This is the side that doesn’t take you through the toll, it goes completely around and feeds you onto the bridge so I couldn’t tell if there was a camera there or not. Has anyone done this before? And if so, what happened? Thanks!
As stated, you’re very lucky you didn’t get caught. The fine is $381. They don’t take pictures in the HOV lane, but frequently the CHP lurks to bust people.
