How bad is the second hand smoke affecting me when I carpool with 2 smokers?
I carpool with 2 smokers (at least 1 cigarette each to and from work, sometimes 2 each) which means I am in the car with up to 4 cigarettes daily. I don’t mind the smell so much, but I am starting to worry about how this may affect my health over time. Honestly, do I need to speak up and request they wait until they arrive at work/home to smoke, or is this not that big of a deal?
Please keep in mind that I occasionally will smoke a cig or two on the weekends with these guys socially, so I don’t want to come off as a hypocrite. Thanks.
People hung around smokers all of the time, and no one ever worried or died from second hand smoke. Then the lab rats came out and said, you can get it. Now everyone thinks they can get it, but still, no one has ever died from it. People still die from stress. So just don’t stress about it. Just don’t think about it, and it shouldn’t bother you. That’s the key. It’s all psychological. Don’t be one of the paranoid schizophrenics. Also not good for your health.
