carpool ontario
What is your opinion on the new Ontario driving restrictions for people under 22?

if you do not know what the new driving rules are, here is the basic idea

drivers under the age of 22 (including adults with a FULL G LICENSE!) must have a blood alcohol level of 0.

drivers age 16 – 19 may only have 1 teenage passenger!

and if you are under the age of 22 and you speed (EVEN WITH FULL G) your license will be taken away for 30 days!

this new law is unfair to teens and even adults! this new law will put more cars on the road and cause more pollution. some people will not even be able to carpool anymore!

what is your opinion?
lets say ur a 20 year old and you are at a family members house. you have a glass of wine, and you are pulled over for some reason. if you blow a 0.01, then you get a ticket.
i dont mean speed (20 km/h over the limit) i mean like 5. you get a ticket
you and a couple of friends want to go see a movie, oh well! lets say you want to go to church and your friend doesnt have a car, he has to walk there!

You’re joking right?

What part of that is unfair?

1. You shouldn’t have a blood alcohol of anything. Don’t drink and drive. At all. That’s pretty simple.

2 What’s wrong with that? Teens get in the most accidents, might as well limit how many people they might kill. Plus, from experience, the more teens in a car, the more likely they’ll drive recklessly. Either showing off, racing, or just getting distracted by the passengers.

3. And why would you need to speed? GO THE SPEED LIMIT. It’s really easy to do! There’s signs everywhere to help! So, if you speed, which means you’re breaking a very simple rule of driving, you’re obviously not fit to drive, so why would you need a license?

Rules make perfect sense to me. Can’t see a single thing about it that is unfair, or unjustified. Just simple rules anyone could follow.
