Best route to SFO during rush hour from Sacramento?
I need to pick up a friend at SFO at 10 am on Monday morning. I’m leaving from Sacramento. I’m worried about hitting traffic, in Sacramento and San Francisco. How much time do I need to give myself to be on time and which route should I take? Thanks for your help! Also – I’m going by myself, so I don’t have carpool
Get to Sonoma and cross over the bay into Marin County.
Take 101 over the Golden Gate and follow the signs to SFO.
You should be traffic free until you hit 101 in Novato.
If you get to Novato by 8:30, you will be at SFO at 10am with no problems.
