The Mayor of Toronto has announced he will adding an additional tax to spring water to force residents….?
to drink the city tap water. Do you think this is fair? Tobacco, Alcohol and Gasoline are all heavily taxed to encourage carpooling, bus/subway usage, and in the case of Tobacco and Alcohol the story is that the higher these ’sin’ taxes the greater the odds of reduced usage.
Is the Mayor trying to get us to drink less water? Because those of us who religiously drink spring water will not revert to tap water when we can no longer afford it-we will simply drink less water – which incidentally is bad for our health.
How can we get the Mayor to change this decision?
get used to it. Both yours and our governments here in the U.S. have hopped on the “go green” band wagons. If someone feels your doing something thats bad for your health or bad for the planet, they will tax you into compliance! good luck getting a politician to change his stance without being elected out of office or changing the current socialist agenda.
