What areas of Sacramento has a touch urban (yet safe)? Midtown?
I will work in Folsom and I was wondering if there Sacramento areas that are safe, have an urban, and finding a reasonable distance (30 minutes or so)? From what I have read Midtown Sacramento seems a good fit, If I understand correctly? Just to give a little background, I enjoyed living in Midtown Atlanta / San Francisco previously. So basically, I'd be delighted to be in an area with many restaurants and activities I can walk (even late at night). Thank you for your help!
Atlanta and San Fran huh? you'll hate this place. nothing to do. everything costs a forchen and Folsom is very expensive. Good luck buying a house and if you do hope that you will not be foreclosed on. Midtown is ok, now live there. Its just OK. Beware if your daughter. High crime. rape and what not. homeless people here and there. You're serious, it blows in from looting. I also lived in Folsom whole town closes at 10pm. If your driving home at 1am or so expect a visit to the cops. Absolutely nothing to do in Folsom at night except go to Winco or ihop 24hr. Folsom Lake is so packed on weekends in summer, if you want to launch a boat might as well look forward to another workday. not a pleasant experience. If you try to fish on Lake Folsom with his nightmare of rude wakeboard boats and jet skis are 40 mph in. your boat. Sacramento has nice things to do, but do not compare with other cities of this size or larger. Sacramento, California and have if the debt its not even funny and the real estate market is so tight in not funny either. seized on every corner. I think this sector will get worse before extreamly improve. I think its time to head to a state that is not broke as a joke. also good that you have a job. suck jobs here. Everyone says its good but its not. very low-paying jobs with prices the big cities.
