Is it a reasonable commute (public transport) to live in Cambridge and work in London? How long?
It’s about an hour’s journey on the fast train to King’s Cross, plus whatever you have to add on after that to where you’re working. There’s a fast train every 30 minutes at peak times, with some slower ones in between that take an hour and 15 or so. I know some people who commute from Ely, one stop further than Cambridge. I think it’s a bit of a drag day in day out, but you get to enjoy being in Cambridge and near the countryside at the weekends
