Is is possible to commute from NH to Boston?
My husband and I are considering moving. We really like what we’ve seen about New Hampshire so far but there aren’t many jobs there for my husband (he is a software developer). We like the south part of NH, around Nashua, and it looks like it’s only about 30 miles from Boston. Is it possible to commute? How long would it take? Is there a train? Are there other cities (probably in MA) it would be better to commute to?
Yes, and depending on how you commute where you work. My brother lives in Nashua, and works in Boston. He takes Route 3 South to Bilerica and hops on the commuter rail for a stress free ride in. If you are trying to take 93 South in the morning, good luck, unless you plan on being at work very early, I wouldn’t recommend it. Of course there are other cities you could commute to. I live 15 minutes from Nashua, and I work out of Woburn, which is 5 miles or so North of the Burlington area. I take Route 3 south in the morning and while congested it moves, and I’ve got in to work in anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on when I leave.
