where in San Francisco should I live if I work in San Jose?
My concern is the length of the commute and how easy it is to get to the highway.
If you want to live in San Francisco, you should live near the main Caltrain station (4th Street and King) and take the train. Once you’re in San Jose, you can use VTA rail light or bus to get to your place of employment.
Although you can drive down either 101 or 280, the traffic and gas costs will be considerable.
