Twin cities commute time-Minneapolis Warehouse district to Eagan?
I work in Eagan, Mn and I am thinking about moving to the warehouse district most likely around the Washington and Hennepin ave. area, so the northwestern part. I was wondering if anyone know how long it would take to get to work in the morning and home. Specifically getting around the downtown Minneapolis.
I basically would like to know how long it would take to get from teh westside of the Warehouse district around or through downtown Minneapolis and heading south on 35W. Thanks,
Lance is correct about the drive time–it’s can really be a bear to get from the warehouse condo district to the entrance to 35W–even going east on Washington Ave to the entrance. And if it’s regular rush-hour, it can be brutal!
Have you thought about the south end of downtown instead?! MUCH closer to the freeway entrance. Links are places for rent closer to the freeway on-ramp and a bit more interesting.

The 2nd link is east of Hennepin in the old Whitney hotel–VERY cool new units, and the REST of the links are in the the area by Washington Avenue and the Guthrie. MUCH easier access to the highway. And the rest of the links…
The north loop is really sort of boring and there’s not much to do.
Just keep checking craigslist ! It is FILLED with places!
