What is a good used bicycle to buy?
I need to buy a good commuter bike as I am not in the mood to pay outrageous gas prices again this summer. I have a fairly short commute to work, but I would also like to use the bike for cardio exercise. I am not looking to empty my bank account, but I am not looking for a cheap toy either. i would prefer to buy used. Any suggestions?

You did not say weather you are looking for a guys bike or a gals bike. I have a very nice shiny red 26″ unisex bike, with multi speeds. It is only about a yr. old and asking $50.00 for it. It is too big for me and in excellent condition. I ride it only occasionally but is a bit heavy for me to lift onto my car carrier also.
