How much do Commuter Express pay their drivers hourly and how many hours do they recieve daily?(Los Angeles)?
I been applying for transits and I’m thinking about applying for commuter express. How much do they pay hourly and how many hours do the drivers get?
Not good! Commuter Experss is contracted out by the LADOT to various private operators such as Laidlaw Transit which pay much lower than that of Transit Districts or Municipal Bus lines. Most Commuter Express driver only earn about $10.50 to $12 per hour! If you can consider applying for a position with Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, Long Beach Transit, OCTA, Torrance Transit, Montebello Bus lines and several others which pay more in the starting range of $15 and top out around $24 per hour.
