Does the commuter rail in Boston run on New Year’s Eve?

On the bottom right side it says:
“Sunday Service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day”
New Year’s day isn’t even on a Sunday, so now I’m confused.
I need to take the commuter rail New Year’s Eve, so it’d be helpful to know if it is actually running that night.
On New Year’s eve, it will be running on a regular weekday schedule. Of course, this means it’ll be difficult to get home that night. Only the subway and select bus routes in Boston will be extended that night for New Year’s activities.
