What kind of bike should I get for commuting/camping?
I’d like to take a weekend backpacking trip with my bike as my transportation. It’s about a 30 mile ride, mostly highway, but I’d then be riding it throughout the fairly rugged campsite. I just want the bike to be extremely light, (made of at least aluminum, if not carbon fiber,) and extremely dependable. Any suggestions? Brands and models/model numbers are nice. Thanks.
camping touring is best with steel, this company is all about and I know one of the builders. they are awesome!! http://www.rivbike.com/
the bike that hear is the best for camping and traveling with all ur stuff is a Surly long haul trucker. In the past couple years It as become a very popular bike in the traveling community for its… well everything. i Have a friend that as one and its such a great ride, I was convinced into saving up for one even though I dont go tour camping and wouldn’t need one.
check out the Surly Long Haul Trucker, awesome bike for what its built for. and think about getting a brooks saddle. there like sitting on butter because over time they form to the shape of ur ass.
