How long is the average commute from Cockeysville, MD or Towson, MD to NW Washington, DC/Bethesda, MD?
I am taking a job in DC and seems the lowest cost of living that I have found thus far is in Baltimore Co…so I will be commuting. Mapquest says 1 hour and 8 minutes. Is this pretty much accurate?
If one leaves between 6 AM to 10 AM – closer to 2-3 hours.
After 10 AM – maybe 75 minutes without any accidents or other issues.
{EDIT} I have commuted via public transportation between Towson and Bethesda and that option also takes 2.5-3 hours each way. Some DC commuters live in Philly suburbs and leave home at 3 AM to reach work by 6 AM.
