commuting longboard
Learning to Longboard, need help on choosing?

I have just started to learn how to long board this week, Its something ive been stupidly putting off for years. I am a very quick learner and I’m reading up a lot on it too. My balance still needs some practice but I am making good progress and carving pretty well so far. I want to buy my own. I am looking for something that carves well yet is comfortably stable, about 46″ long and concave. Looking for something with good flex, I want to learn how to pump it and weight and unweight it to kind of get that springy surfing feel into turns. I am looking for something that cruises pretty fast and that is good for commuting and just for little hilly parking lots, im not really looking to bomb big hills or anything. I am still a beginner so stability is important. I was looking at the sector nine norcal supercruiser from the cosmic series and the surf camp from the bamboo series (which i was learning on) Any suggestions? Do they look good? Not interested in any Loaded boards.

long boards….good choice. the best bet is to try renting some first (at one of those places where you can return and get a new one if it doesn’t feel right). it’s all about size, so once you figure out how long you want, go from there. what feels good, is good.
