Looking for a commuting bike. Would this be a good one?
I have been looking into getting a bike. This bike has caught my eye is the Marin Point Reyes model. I have looked at other bikes but they just don’t appeal to me as much as the Point Reyes. I must say the specs were drawing me to this bike.
My intentions with getting a bike is for commuting to work, groceries and exercise. I would like something with quality and lightweight. Lightweight is a must since I will need to bring the bike indoors (apartment).
Could you recommend something that is comparable to this bike??

That looks a good one, it’s a very similar spec and price to the one I use for day to day use (a Giant Escape M1). MTB based hybrids are great for general use, and take the knocks from daily use really well.
I don’t know if the Giant Escape is available where you are (I’m in the UK), but I my other bike is a Giant as well, and they are well made, reliable, and have served me well for the past 5 years or so.
