commuting saddle
Help me make up my mind!?

So I’m on the fence about my next bike. I have a sport bike now, (Suzuki SV1000S with lots of mods) And I’m looking for something that is a lot more passenger friendly, has good, large saddle bags for holding my laptop (I plan to commute with the bike to work) is shaft / belt drive and under $14,000. I’m torn in two directions, a touring cruiser (not full dresser), or a sport tourer. On the sport touring side, I like the Kawasaki Concours 14, or the Yamaha FJR. On the cruiser side, I like the Yamaha VStar 1300 tourer, or I found a year old Star Stratoliner for around $14K. Thoughts?
I looked at the Royal Star, however its carburated, and being I’ve been spoiled with a FI bike for awhile, I don’t really want to go back.
Yes dear, it has crossed my mind :)

Since you ruled out full dressers, you might look at the Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe. Good looks, removable windshield, reasonable saddlebag size, water cooled, shaft drive, 97hp, lots of aftermarket support, and 5 year warranty…they come in around 14K, less if you look for bargains/discounts.

Regarding fuel injection. Nothing wrong with carbs. Either one is OK with me. Your loss!
