What is the cheapest way to file your taxes as an independant contractor?

Is it better to do it through someone private rather than a company so they can helo me get all of the deductions i can get i am a single parent and i payed 14,000 of the 40,000 i made last year in rent for my apartment can i deduct any of that and what about childcare and gas for my commute to and from work?

Find a good CPA that knows their stuff. Depends what your job is, you can deduct all sorts of stuff. I used to be a dancer, I deducted EVERYTHING that had to do with physical upkeep. Hair care, skin, clothes, the gym, etc. Gas, too. Now I’m a Realtor and I deduct gas, restaraunts (eating with clients), airline tickets, all my dues, cards, etc, as well as all my write off’s for my upgrades to my investment homes.
