Is joining the spirit air club worth while?
The website is a little confusing…Does anyone know if this is a good idea? My husband is about to start commuting every 2 weeks to destinations that Spirit Air serves….looking to find the most cost effective way to do this…
If you are going to be traveling every 2 weeks it is definitely worth it. I am a member and only travel once a year. We have used them the last 2 years and have not paid more than 200 for a family of 4 to fly to Orlando. Your dates have to be open more less for the 9 fare. When they run these specials they are for certain dates. Sometimes you can get it both ways but other times you can get the discount for one way and you pay the full price for the Second flight. You have up to the date you want to purchase the tickets to sign up for the club. So if you find a deal that you like today you can sign up for the club and receive the savings on that flight. Right now they are offering 50 off there flights, but all the good costs are pretty much gone. This morning I was able to book a flight at 20/person and it is now 70/person. Just don’t book on the 48 off or 35 off. After each of these offers a 9 fare will appear. If you can check the computer at about 2am you will be the first to see the sales, before any emails are sent. They do offer deals for non members as well. Some flights will be 9 for club members and 19 for non members. Just remember that spirit charges for everything member or not. You still pay the same fees. You are charged for seat assignments, baggage, and food. Sign up for emails and you will know when the deals are going on.
