How to survive work in the third trimester?
I’m almost 32 weeks pregnant now and still working full time. I just want to know if anyone has any tips for surviving work in the third trimester. My back and ribs have absolutely been killing me (especially while i’m commuting to work and when I’m sitting down), and just sitting at my desk it’s hard to breathe. And, has anyone else experienced weakness in their arms/legs when they have shortness of breath?
so aside from all the complaining, are there any good ways to be a little less uncomfortable at work?? I only have 5 more weeks before I’m going on leave. But right now I have no idea how i’m going to make it that long…
First of all you are brave for staying in work that long, I’m 32 weeks and I finished last week although I’m taking my annual leave before my maternity leave which starts on 3 July.
I would say to take it easy as much as possible don’t rush around, sit up straight at ur desk, have regular healthy snacks and drink plenty to keep hydrated. I get back and rib pain alot, having a little walk around does help, sitting for too long will make u uncomforatble.
If you absolutely cannot cope then can you consider leaving work earlier, do u have any holidays to use before maternity leave or could u just bring ur maternity leave forward.
