Bikers: Which cheap bike(125cc?) would be suitable for a new rider who just wants cheap travel and insurance?
I’ve also been advised to avoid “sports” bikes where you need to be bent over with your head on the handle bars!
I’ll be using it for commuting rather than racing and looking cool!

I’m thinking of getting a bike but I know little about them. Can you recommend a model (and age) of bike to go for?
I want it to be fairly economical and cheap to tax and insure. Also, roughly how much would I expect to spend:

cheap+125cc= honda CG125 theyve been around for ever so lots to choose from to suit the budget.loads of cheap spares in the breakers Overhead valve engine is really tough and easy to look after yourself. top speed around about 60ish, 100+mpg. CBR125 is a better bike thats true but it costs more to buy, run, fix and it does not get thro the traffic so good either
