How to get from Baltimore to DC?
im planing on traveling to DC and i heard the cheapest way to do so is to travel/stay in Baltimore and take a train/commuter rail into DC. im having a hard time finding information on this any help would be amazing.
Here’s the deal. Baltimore, close to the city, is not going to be THAT cheap. You would need to get out into the suburbs before the cost of hotels and motels gets cheaper.
I’d recommend someplace in the suburbs of Virginia. It’s relatively safe, and you can get a hotel/motel that is either in walking distance of the Metro (DC’s subway system) or, many places have a free shuttle from the hotel to the local metro station.
Knowing what I know from 22 years of living in the DC metropolitan area, I would stay in Virginia and hop the metro into DC and other communities.
