If I live in DC what is the quickest way to drive to downtown Baltimore for work?
Would it be better to live in Silver Spring/by 495 or in downtown DC (near MCI Center) where I could pick up the BW Parkway to get to Baltimore. How long is the commute/is there lots of traffic?
Given that choice, I’d choose living in SS, and taking the Beltway to I-95 to downtown Balto.
Now, you always want a backup plan, in case your main route is closed. So, your backup, in addition to B-W Pkwy., would be Route 29 north from SS. It’s parallel to I-95, and a couple of miles west.
It will take under an hour.
