keeping car clean inbetween washes?
now that its summer I am finding car gets dirty really quickly. Havent got time to keep washing it myself I try to do every week or so but it takes so long and such a hassle to get hose out etc plus wastes water and not very environmentally friendly . In between washing whats the best thing to use just to get dust off and not have to get car wet. would wet wipes be ok just to clean off surface dirt?
You can buy a product called a California Duster at the auto parts store. It does a nice job if you’ve only got pollen or dust to remove, but don’t wait until it’s too dirty – too much dust will scratch the clear coat on your car. If it does get too dirty or gritty, I use a product made by Meguiars called Quik Shine Mist and Wipe. Just spray it on, wipe, then wipe dry with a different part of the cloth. It not only cleans your car, it’ll help keep your paint job looking newer longer.
And good for you for wanting to keep your car clean. Not only does it look better, but all that bird poo and pollen and dust can actually start to eat away at your clear coat and paint.
