Are bunny slopes free to ski or ride?
My girlfriend and I are going up to Breckenridge for the weekend, and are thinking of trying snowboarding. But, we don’t really want to ride the lift, just try out on the bunny slope. Are they free or do you need a lift ticket?
check with the resort most places offer free skiing on surface lift. mine offers free afternoon skiing on one t-bar,the magic carpet, all ropes and has a $15 deal for 1st timers to rent equipment(skiing or boarding) and ski the apple chair all day
I was at alta last week and noticed they let people ski the sunnyside lift free between 3pm and 4pm. I thought that was a great idea to entice more people to try skiing because all the trails below sunnyside are nice long bunny slopes. Also you can ski for a bit with some more experienced skiers heading over to the sugarloaf chair and pick up a few pointers from them
I don’t know what breck’s policy is with beginners but maybe that might not be the best place to start off. I’m sure they have some bunny trails but for the most part breckenridge is very challenging terrain
I know winterpark offers learn to board 1/2day lessons with a lift ticket for only $49 this is a great deal when you consider most lessons alone are $50/hr and you’ll be getting 2 1/2hrs of lessons and your lift ticket. One good lesson is worth a week of stumbling along on your own
