Free 2D Gravity Simulation Software?

I’m looking for a (free/open source) program for Windows or Linux where I can simulate how a two-dimensional object responds to gravity and other objects. For example, put a circle at the top of an incline and have it roll down, or have an egg shape on a flat surface fall over. There are some games (like Crayon Physics) that allow you to do rough simulations like this but I want something that is not a game and allows you to insert perfect circles and lines without drawing them with the mouse.

I don’t know if such a program exists. The 2D animation program Pencil (pencil-animation.org) has a clean 2D interface but doesn’t have gravity simulation and is designed as an animation program. Flash games like Line Rider are a good physics simulation but you cannot create your own objects beyond drawing the track.

If anyone knows of 3D programs that are easy to use I might give that a try, although I would like something 2D that just deals with simple shapes.

Thanks in advance!
