golden gate bridge commute hours
How long does it take to cross the Golden Gate Bridge to get to San Francisco during rush hours?

I want to live in Sausalito and commute to Vanness Ave and Post St. in San Francisco for work. Not sure how the commute will be like…

So you are looking at a commute of 10-15 miles. The Golden Gate Bridge is almost one-mile in length. Most metro areas experience longer and longer rush hours. In the morning, rush hour may last from 6.00am to 9.30am. For the ride home traffic begins to spike at 3.00-3.30 and can last well past 6.00pm. Worst case scenario is that it takes you 45 minutes, which means that if you have to travel 15 miles, you will be going an average of 30 miles per hour. (Cannot find my calculator, hope that my math is correct!)
