How well do electric heated vests work for cold weather motorcycle riding?
I’m a motorcycle commuter, and I’d like to be comfortable on my fully faired maxi-scooter down to about freezing. I just don’t know if the electric motorcycle vests or jackets really work, or if they work fast enough to actually help me–my commute is only about 15 minutes. I do get cold easily but ride fairly often when the temperature is in the 40s–I just bundle up. Thanks.
Mine starts heating up in 5 seconds or less. They work great and your fingers stay warmer. That’s because with your chest being warmed up, your body can then divert blood to your extremities, warming them up. You might just make sure your alternator is up to powering the vest. With your maxi scooter, I bet it is.
