Moving to London for work … where should I live?
I need some help here. I am from Holland, moving to London for my job. Office is in Canary Wharf, I have long days, so easy commute is important (ie not more than 30 mins). I am 35 years old, coming over with my wife and a toddler. What are nice places to live around the area? I hear Greenwich is nice. What about Blackheath? We are looking for something with a village atmposphere but not too far from wrok and the centre of town. Also, we are looking for a place with a garden, no flats. Any suggestions more than welcome. Thanks!
Greenwich is very nice and Blackheath is also nice. Have you thought of Islington? It has a nice atmosphere and Canary Wharf is within easy reach of Angel, just change at Bank for the DLR or London Bridge for the Jubilee Line.
