Which airport is better for domestic commuter trips – O’Hare or Midway?
There are advantages for each airport.
Midway is a smaller airport. It is easier to get through security and baggage claim but it is located on city streets not expressways so can take longer to get away from the airport. It is also located on the south side.
Ohare is larger and has more flights which allows for more choices of flight times and locations. It is located in the northwest suburbs. It is easier to get mass transit from Ohare to downtown.
You would need to consider availability of flights and part of city you are traveling to or from.
