Is it too far of a commute to Raleigh from Wilmington to go to school?
The reason I ask is I’m married and a recent grad. My husband is deployed and will be coming back soon, but he didn’t get to finish school so he is going to go to grad school at NC State if I get this job in Wilmington NC. UNCW does not have an engineering program and NC State is the closest school that does. We’ve been a part the first year of our marriage because of this deployment and really want to live together. So if I end up with a job in Wilmington would it be too much for him to commute to NC State. His younger brothers will be attending school there so he would have a place to crash from studying late, etc. So I just wanted to know if it is too far of a commute?
It is a load, but me and my ex-wife made the same trip every day. I-40 now goes all the way between these cities, and it makes it only about a 2 hour ride. Good luck!
