Hoboken or Jersey City is a safe place to live?
Hello, I'm moving to New York in January for the College to the new school is located in the village of Greenwich. as we all know, Manhattan is very expensive. So I'm looking for other solutions. Is it reasonable to live in New Jersey and commute? Honestly, I do not mind the shuttle at all. I do not want to be drowned in debt by the time I finished school just because I decided that I should live in Manhattan, as opposed to somewhere that is cheaper. I have no idea About New Jersey. So far, I'm looking to Hoboken or Jersey City. who do you think is the best place and the easiest / fastest place to live, to go to school? any help or ideas would be really appreciated.
Jersey City has some safe parts and parts not so sure. The good thing about Jersey City is the diversity of culture. You see different people and a great mix ethnic restaurants, including Indian, Filipino, Chinese and more! Good food! Jersey City is relatively safe, but there are parts that I do not want to walk one night in. However, I think Hoboken is really nice. You can get a breathtaking view of Manhattan all lit up at night. It is very nice and much cleaner that parts of Jersey City. But the beautiful view at a cost. Hoboken may be a bit expensive for rent. Both Jersey City and Hoboken are about 20 to 25 minutes easy on pathtrain Manhattan (The Mall M) Why not find a roommate in Queens? It is a little more time traveling in the subway, but prices are much more reasonable in Queens and quite strong too. A few roommates can really make affordable rent in Queens.
