paris commuter train
Do you prefer the Paris Metro or the London Underground?

How does the Paris Metro compare to London’s Tube?

I’ve never been to Paris before but I’ve hopped to London several times (my university isn’t too far away). In my opinion, the Tube is efficient enough and gets you where you need to go, but it’s far too EXPENSIVE!

Based on online information, the Paris Metro seems to be a lot cheaper. The RER and other commuter trains also cost a lot less to ride than their equivalents in Greater London. But in terms of comfort, efficiency, pleasure, everything else… how do the Paris Metro and the RER measure up to rail transport in London?

Thanks ^^
Even commuter passes cost a lot more in London than they do in Paris. Change the euro sign to the pound sign, keep the numbers, and you get the idea.

The Paris metro is a lot cheaper, less noisy and much faster. There are trains much more often than in London and it is more modern. What is more, in London, many lines are often out of order. You never know how long it is going to take to get from one point to another. The reason for all this is probably because the London Tube is much older than the Paris metro.
