Public Transportation in California?
I have to go from Palm Springs to Ojai in California, is it possible to do it using public transportation, if not, is it possible to drive to someplace close to palm springs (possibly not more than 1h away) and take it from there?

Would it be easier to get there from San Diego?
if you start in Riverside its doable but you will hjave to leave early
and amtrak only operates from palms springs evert 3 days
okay I found a route that might work for You but you will have to be at
Riverside metrolink station by 5:00am
[get a riverside-oxnard ticket[ for $13.50 from the ticket vending machine)
then you have a choices of trains one departing at 5:29am arrives
LA at 7:05 or 5:42 which also arrives at LA union station

then you can change to joint metrolink/amtrak train
[this train accpect all metrolink and amtrak tickets [all other amtrak trains only honor metrlolink passes or amtrak tickets]
departing
union station at 7;30am this train will take you to oxnard arriving at 9;21am
then you can take Gold coast line 6 to the ventura transit center
depart at 9:40am arrives VTC at 10:35 am
then transfer again to Gold coast line 16 departing VTC at 10:40 arrives Ojai at 11:42am
now you can leave later by taking other metrolink trains to
riverside (you might have to change in orange then board amtrak
to oxnard then the above routing
metrolink trains do also operate directly to Oxnard in the late afternoon as well
