Is there a relatively cheap airport shuttle service from Ann Arbor to Detroit airport?
I am online and looking and everything is taxi, taxi and taxi…
is there any sort of public transportation or at least a shuttle service?

There is a student shuttle available before/after school breaks for $7-10 each way (fall break, thanksgiving, winter break, spring break). Non-students can ride along with a registered student (a valid M-Card is needed for purchase).
There is also a ride board in Michigan Union on State Street – downstairs. The airport is a frequent destination, so you should be able to share a ride pretty easily.
