public transportation in seattle
what is the cost to ride a public transportation bus in Seattle, WA?

Metro is $1.50 for one-zone off-peak fares. At the opposite end for them, it’s $2.25 for two-zone travel during peak hours.

Community Transit (deals more with the northend and Snohomish County) fares are $1.25 for one-zone travel at all times. Commuter fares are $3.00 on CT, which is more expensive, but this is for travel between Snohomish and King counties, so more than just in and out of Seattle.

Sound Transit is $1.50 or $2.50 for two zones. I believe 3 zone travel is $3.00? Sound Transit has a lot more commuter buses that run longer routes, rather than Metro’s King county local/commuter and CT’s Snoho. county local/commuter buses.

All these were fares for adults. For kids under 18, ST is $1, Metro is $.50 and CT is $.75, I believe. Metro’s might have gone up when the fares just increased a few months ago, though…
